Yanlin Fang, also known as Hazel, is an ambitious student currently pursuing her passion for film and television at NYU.
Before enrolling in NYU, Hazel was following her parent’s path to major in Computer Science. During the Covid-19 period, realizing her desire to create compelling stories, Hazel followed her dream of studying film. Though she started her journey later than many, this experience fueled her passion and determination, driving her to work harder than ever before.
Hazel is passionate about the producing side of the industry. While studying at NYU, she highlights the stories of Asian family relationships and female-led narrations. She has a passion for exploring stories that span various cultures and genres. Collaborating with diverse storytellers brings her joy as she helps them bring their narratives to life. This love for storytelling is what drives her ambition to become a producer.
